Compound nevus is a genetic disorder. It is a rare disease, a very rare disease that affects 1 in 60,000 people, but those who suffer from it are essentially “super-humans.” In fact the disorder affects the brain and is not caused by blood or tissue cells. It is a disorder that affects the brain in such a way that certain parts of the brain cannot communicate properly. In compound nevus, certain parts of the brain have abnormal connections.
