I think it is a great way to practice mindfulness, and it is an excellent video to watch before bed on a rainy day.

What Dr. Alters has done for our lives is to put all these big, scary, life-changing ideas and things into our heads. Alters is not just a psychologist or a psychologist’s assistant. She is a psychic. She sees the future. She is the best at sensing life-altering events that have not yet happened. The thing that really excites me about Dr. Alter is that she is also one of the first people I know of to tell me all this stuff about me. That is like one of the most profound things I have ever learned about myself.
In a sense, Dr. Alter is like the best of both of us. We all have an inner voice that tells us what is happening in our lives or in our minds and that can be very accurate or very wrong. Dr. Alter is one of the few people I have ever met who is also a scientist, a scientist in the academic sense. She is one of the people who has had this type of insight into me, so I can trust her.
Dr. Alter has had a lot of experience with “inner voices” or “cortical voices.” If you’re familiar with the concept of the “halo effect,” she has also been able to see the “cortical voices” in my brain without knowing it. In fact, her experience of a halo effect is very different from mine.
So what does this mean for you? Dr. Alter says the halo effect only works for people who are in a room where there is an external cue to the voices. That means if you have been in a room where an external cue to the voices is present, you will be able to discern the halo effect. I have had this experience, but I have also had the experience that Dr. Alter has had as well.
I’ve seen Dr. Alter perform more mind-bending experiments than I ever will, but the difference between the halo effect and a cortical voice is so small from a scientific perspective that I tend to just disregard the effects and treat them as an interesting side effect. In my mind, the halo effect is a small part of a much bigger event, and if you are able to discern a halo effect, then I would suggest you try the halo effect experiment.
The halo effect happens when a person is subjected to a mental event for long enough that the effects begin to become apparent. The halo effect is not a medical condition. It is a psychological effect, and one of the best ways to test if you are an alien is to play around with the halo effect.
